Caldarus

About Caldarus

Caldarus is Mistria's ancient dragon guardian and a major magical figure in Fields of Mistria. The Player awakens his presence after repairing the damaged dragon statue on the farm, unknowingly entering a pact with him in the process. He later communicates through dreams and asks for Essence, establishing the statue as the place where players unlock and improve useful skill perks.

Recently awakened after a long period of being sealed away, Caldarus remembers little about what happened to him or the region. His formal way of addressing the Player as a mortal emphasizes his age and supernatural nature, while his missing memories tie him closely to the larger mystery surrounding Mistria's earthquake, magic, and ruins. Caldarus is both a progression guide and an important story character whose history unfolds as the adventure continues.
